SKPD and UKPD Asked to Work Faster

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, assessed that during his service as Jakarta Vice Governor and Acting Jakarta Governor, the performance of echelon officials in Jakarta Provincial Government does not meet the expectation. As a matter of fact, many of the officials cannot follow his working rhythm. Head of Regional Working Units are asked to work faster.

I feel to work from morning until night, and there is no staff helping me

“Exactly on last 15 June, I have been 20 months in here. I personally surprised to become a regent in 16 months. I feel to work from morning until night, and there is no staff helping me,” said Basuki at City Hall, Tuesday (6/16).

Basuki stated that the fast working rhythm that has become his habit as Jakarta Vice Governor or Acting Jakarta Governor cannot be followed by the officials.

SKPD Instructed to Speed Up Physical Development

It is seen from a number of projects such as inspection road in river banks and reservoir as well as river and reservoir normalization, waste transporting trucks donation, flat and other infrastructures that turn out to be worked by private institutions.

“All projects have been done by private, so what did you do?" Basuki uttered.

For that, Basuki asked the heads of Regional Working Units (SKPD) in Jakarta Provincial Government to work faster. “I have to force them, the SKPD heads have to work faster,” he asserted.

This former Regent of Belitung Timur had asked to provide employee card for the controlling purpose. “I ask the new Civil Servants (PNS) to enter with DKI Bank ATM so they can be controlled of their allowances, where did the money go. I have asked since last year, e-asset has been proposed since last year,” told Basuki.

One of the examples is many of City PNS cannot do a presentation when they are asked. “City BPKD is a mess. E-asset is not clear, I asked them how much they spend for sugar. Can they answer it? They cannot, it means they cannot build a system, they are not ready, they cannot clarify inbox. Always blame echelon three and four,” Basuki completed.
